Audi driving experience FAQs

How much time do you spend on the track?
For the Audi Dynamic driving experience the day begins with a morning briefing. Following this, participants are split into groups where they rotate through various activities (for example ABS, skid-oversteer, slalom, cornering).

In the afternoon, there is a short briefing at the conclusion of the lunch break followed by another couple of hours of activities (for example lapping and motorkhana).

The actual activities will vary slightly depending on which program is being run.

Approximately 75% of the day is spent in the cars participating in activities.

For the Performance program, participants will spend more time in the cars. As everyone is required to complete the Audi Dynamic driving experience prior to booking into the Audi Performance driving experience, they will bring with them assumed knowledge regarding the structure of the day and the running of activities, which allows us to cut down on the briefing time – allowing more driving time.
Which Audi vehicles do you drive?
The vehicles we currently use for the Audi Dynamic driving experience are the RS 3, RS 5, RS 6, RS Q8 and RS e-tron GT. Participants will get to drive each type of vehicle throughout the day.
What is the dress code?
Smart casual – flat sole shoes and long pants are recommended. Participants should come prepared for all weather and we suggest bringing a jacket.
How does the day run in terms of timing?
Participants should arrive at 8.30am for registration (and light breakfast). The welcome briefing/presentation commences at 9am. All participants must be in attendance for the briefing or they may not be allowed to drive due to the safety requirements included in the run through. All day beverages (coffee/tea/soft drinks), lunch and afternoon tea are also provided

The day will conclude at approximately 4.30pm.
Are there any pre-requisites required to participate?
Participants must be 18 years old and have a full valid driver’s licence. If a participant has an international licence, as long as they are legally allowed to drive on that licence within Australia at the time of the driving experience they are permitted to attend.

Audi places the health and safety of our customers as paramount. This experience will exceed those required by Government-ordained health orders where we consider it necessary to apply additional caution.

Participants may be required to wear face masks. We are required to terminate the participation of anyone who does not comply with this requirement, and are unable to admit anyone who cannot suitably wear a mask.

The facilities used for the Audi Driving Experience are located in various States around Australia and overseas. Prior to registering and attending an event, please ensure you check the latest health and travel advice issued by the relevant Government Authority with respect to the event location.

Is catering included?
A light breakfast is provided on arrival. A buffet lunch (with hot and cold options) is provided. Afternoon tea is available at the conclusion of the day.

Special dietary requirements can be catered for it they are advised in advance.

Barista coffee/tea/hot chocolate/juice/soft drink/water is available all day.
Can I bring my wife/friend/brother with me on the day to spectate?
We would like to be able to welcome non-participating guests to the event, however as the Audi driving experience is an active training program using high power vehicles at speed, we must limit access to those participating in the course and therefore are unable to admit spectators.
Do you provide a shuttle from the airport to the race track and return for interstate guests?
We are unable to offer this service for participants. We recommend guests hire a vehicle with Hertz (they have Audi on their fleet) for transport to the tracks. There is always ample parking at the tracks.
Can I use my own helmet/GoPro?
We provide helmets for use on the day. Participants can bring their own helmet if they prefer but it must be an open face helmet.

GoPro’s are at the discretion of the instructors. Generally they are not permitted inside the cars as they can be a distraction. We don’t provide footage as it is an educational experience so the focus is on skill acquisition not a videography opportunity.
How does insurance work?
Audi holds a comprehensive public liability policy and also insurance on their vehicles with an excess of $10,000 per vehicle damaged at the track. Any cost for medical attention at the track is covered in the hire of the track.

Should ambulance transport be required, this would be covered by the individuals Ambulance membership and any further cost would be covered by Medicare.
Can an exception be made for someone under 18 years old to participant?
Audi legal have confirmed that we are unable to bend the rules at all as the insurance cover for vehicles and public and professional liability would be null and void. It is an Audi and track requirement to have valid insurance so we would be in breach of the agreements if we allowed anyone that is not fully licenced and 18 years of age or older participate.
Can I drive my own car on the track?
Unfortunately our insurance doesn’t allow our customers to drive their own vehicles on the track.
When are dates for next year announced?
Generally in early December.
What is the cost of each experience?
• Audi Dynamic driving experience = $1,395 per person (32 participants maximum)
• Audi Performance driving experience = $1,995 per person (24 participants maximum)
What if I can no longer attend the course I am booked into? Can I cancel?
To refund or reschedule a course within Australia, notification at least a month prior needs to be received by admin@audidrivingexperience.com.au. If notified within a month of the course or no attendance is recorded, the booking cannot be rescheduled or refunded unless it is reallocated to another participant that meets the criteria of having a valid driver’s licence and be at least 18 years of age and in the case of the Performance program, has completed the pre-requisite. The international experiences require 100% commitment so no refund can be made once paid for, however the place can be reallocated to another participant for a refund to be applicable.

See clause 10 in the terms and conditions for the cancellation terms.
What do I need to do with the Indemnity Form?
A copy of the Indemnity Form will be sent to you a week prior to the experience via Docusign. This form must be completed prior to or at registration.
What do I need to bring with me on the day?
A physical drivers licence (not a photograph) and yourself. We will need to see your driver’s licence and conduct a breath test to ensure you have a 0.00 alcohol reading.
