Code of Conduct for Business Partners

The Code of Conduct for Business Partners embeds our expectations of our business partners’ conduct with respect to key environmental, social and compliance standards in our contractual agreements. The requirements are based, among other things, on the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises, the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights and the relevant International Labour Organization (ILO) conventions. The Code of Conduct is, however, not just based on international standards, but also objectives, rules and policies of the Volkswagen Group.

Modern slavery may be relatively uncommon in Australia, but it is estimated that there are over 40 million people in modern slavery conditions worldwide. Modern slavery describes situations where offenders use coercion, threats, or deception to exploit victims and undermine their freedom. It encompasses human trafficking, deceptive recruitment, forced labour, debt bondage, forced marriage, slavery, servitude, child labour, and other kinds of exploitation that violate a person’s human rights and dignity.

Code of Conduct for Employees

The Audi Code of Conduct applies to all employees of the Audi Group and is based on shared values. The focus is on honest conduct, acting with integrity, compliance with rules and regulations and responsibility for the environment. The Code of Conduct seeks to help employees observe the Audi rules within their workplace, as business partners and as members of society, providing them with guidance, assistance, and advice. Audi Group rejects all forms of modern slavery and human trafficking, which also forms part of Audi’s Code of Conduct.
