Dear Valued Customers,
As part of ongoing product monitoring, AUDI AG, the manufacturer, has found that conductive deposits can form in the mechatronic unit in the gearbox of certain A1 and A3 models (1.4T, 1.6 and 1.8T) built between July 2008 and July 2011. As a result, we are conducting a voluntary recall to replace the mechatronic unit at no cost to the customer.
If your vehicle matches this description, we will be in direct contact with you via email on 14 June 2013 (if we have your current email address) or by registered post by 21 June 2013 to advise you of the details and the next steps. In the meantime, you can continue to drive your vehicle as usual.
Please be assured that no new Audi vehicles currently being produced or sold are affected.
We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and if you have any queries, please contact your Audi Dealer or Audi Australia Customer Assistance on 1800 50 AUDI (2834).
Making sure our customers are receiving the best possible care and attention remains Audi’s top priority.
